Documents

The samples in this folder demonstrate creating .p7m files containing pure data, most often documents. The inner data has no MIME headers, so the .p7m file containing it is not an S/MIME compatible file.

The difference between constructing p7m files containing files archives and pure documents lies in using --InputFile switch instead of --FileList.

shortpipeencpdf Encrypts,signs and again encrypts a PDF document ( sample.pdf) to Alice and Bob in a 2 p7mTool instance pipe. The result is stored in sample.pdf.p7m. The certificates to encrypt to and sign with are defined by their fingerprints in file ab.txt
encpdfmax The sample wraps a JPG image file ( leaves.jpg) into three security layers - Encrypted, Signed & Encrypted to create leaves.jpg.p7m file. S/MIME heqaders are added only to the middle layer. Each layer is added by an instance of p7mTool, the instances being connected by pipes. Additionaly, the intermediate p7m files - inner layers are stored in separate files for debug purposes.
